Stephanie earned her bachelor's degree from Utah State University (2002) in family and human development and her master's degree from the University of Connecticut (2007) in marriage and family therapy. Her clinical experience includes intensive inpatient treatment at the Cirque Lodge in Sundance, Utah and McKay Dee Hospital psychiatric department. A majority of her experience has been focused on treating children, adolescents, adults, and couples with a wide variety of emotional challenges in outpatient settings including her private practice, LDS Family Services and the Northville Counseling Center.
Stephanie specializes in treating children and adolescents with challenges including anxiety, depression, OCD, abuse, family stressors, behavioral disruptions, and more. She has completed extensive post-graduate training through The Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute. Her clinical experience includes conducting play therapy with children ages 3-11, and expressive/talk therapies for adolescents. She believes in helping children and adolescents heal through self-discovery, expression, and symbolic play.
Stephanie also provides extensive clinical work for couples with marital strain and men and women experiencing a wide variety of emotional and relationship challenges. She utilizes Emotion Focused and Solution Focused therapy techniques to create a safe therapeutic space for couples and individuals to work through life's most challenging problems.
Outside of the office, Stephanie has put her extracurricular hobbies on hold at the moment to chase her delightful firecracker of a daughter around from sun up till sun down as well as care for a new baby! She loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the couch with her husband each night after her little ones have gone to bed!
