Wendy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development/Family Sciences from Brigham Young University. She continued her education at the University of Phoenix completing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Wendy most recently worked at Hopeful Beginnings doing in-home therapy treating children, adults, and families. She enjoyed the opportunity of helping these clients reach their goals. Prior to that she worked for Davis School District for 8 years in Special Education.
Wendy works with clients age 8 and older, and specializes in areas such as depression, anxiety, spiritual counseling, personality disorders, and parent-child conflict. Wendy is certified in EMDR for trauma, and works extensively with those experiencing self-harm and suicidal tendencies. She also enjoys assisting clients with low self-esteem, mood disorders, and parenting concerns.
I love outdoor activities such as hiking and backpacking. I participate in triathlons a couple times per year, and I enjoy learning new things continually.
Wendy accepts self pay and clergy-assisted payment, along with the following insurances: • DMBA out of network • PEHP
I believe people have strengths even in challenging times and situations. I feel people can learn, change, and do things differently. I strive to support and guide my clients as they work to reach their own goals by helping them focus on their strengths and accomplishments.
